Raising capital and growing businesses.
David Horne is a right-brained, creative accountant. He spent the first half of his career with big corporate entities: training as a Chartered Accountant with PWC and then holding senior finance roles with AT&T and the BBC. He left that world in 1999 at the height of the dotcom boom and ventured into the world of entrepreneurial businesses. Thankfully he didn’t join a dotcom! He did begin a 10-year stint of being CFO with some very fast growing companies and had the pleasure of working with some amazing entrepreneurs. In the period up to 2010, he raised over £100 million and bought or sold more than 20 businesses.
In 2010 he launched a wine business serving private clients. He learned first-hand just how hard it is to be an entrepreneur! The wine business is still around, but it’s more a hobby business, and David is its biggest client by some margin.
Since 2012 he has focused his time and efforts exclusively on working with Founders, helping them raise money and invest in their businesses, achieving exponential growth rates.
You care about your business more than anyone else ever will. We like to think we come in second place! We are very selective about who we work with, because it has to be a close and long-term relationship that works for both parties.
We’re good because we are totally aligned with you. In fact, we prefer to take an element of our fees in equity. That way there is no doubt.
And we have clearly articulated our Big Why. During 2016, David committed to pledge 10% of the profits of Add then Multiply to an educational foundation he is in the process of establishing. More on that to follow.
